When I became a mother myself, I delighted in sharing my love of reading with my children. I would fuse my mother’s passion for colorful characters with my father’s engaging tone. My children are avid readers, and this is one of my greatest achievements.

My love of storytelling led me to the theatre. Years spent on stage have given me an understanding of pacing, character development, and the power of voice.

I have spent the last decade working at a birth center, witnessing the beauty and resilience of the human spirit firsthand. Serving pregnant women and their families has made me comfortable sitting in the sometimes uncomfortable realities surrounding childbirth and parenting.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am an avid enthusiast of CrossFit. The discipline and determination required has instilled in me a strong work ethic which is reflected in my approach to narration.

When it comes to genres, I love rolling around in the sheets of a steamy romance novel. My experiences have equipped me with a deep love of supporting others, making me a perfect fit for self-help books. I enjoy finding the humor in a cozy mystery, and channeling the attitudes of my own children in a middle-grade fantasy. And maybe, one day, I can find the perfect Southern children’s story, and bring back my Mother’s voice of Briar Rabbit, creating a new generation of book lovers.
